Cardo PACKTALK/BOLD - Hey Siri, Google Voice, Make a Phone Call, etc.

How to make a phone call (among other things!) from the headset. This basically pulls up the voice assist ability of your phone (ie "Siri", "Google Voice", etc.) then you tell your phone what you want it to do.

I have a PackTalk Black. I use the half helmet Microphone kit. Even though I get a lot of wind noise, I can hear music great. It's actually outstanding for music. Even while riding between 70 and 80mph, I can lightly speak into the mic and it has no issue recognizing Siri and voice commands. I make phone calls using Hey Siri and the person I call can hear me fine. They can't believe how good that I sound even with the half helmet mic. I can barely hear their voice while traveling at highways speeds, but music is loud before I am talking on the phone. The music stops when I make a call too. When I am going slow, like 30 mph, I can hear their voice loud and clear. Great channel BTW.

My question is, how to use the other speed dials saved on the cardo app? i believe you have shown how to use the 1st speed dial but not how to use the 2nd, 3rd & 4th speed dial. When someone calls me my phone rings but until I hit the speaker button I cannot hear the phone ringing. How do I get the phone call to come directly to my packtalk bold

every time i complete my command using siri she continues to listen and never 'enters' the command its very annoying and makes siri useless 300 dollars for this

Thanks for the video. I'm having a issue. When I use Google asst. To make a call it calls from me talking in the helmet mic but the phone call can only be heard on my actual phone. The speakers in the helmet or mic neither one are connected. If I just dial from my phone or recieve a phone call it works fine thru the helmet.
This is the only feature that isn't working for me. All cardo commands and Google commands activate what they should. Just Google phone call only thru phone. I've tried everything I could find on it. Any ideas?

I'm proud owner of Packtalk Bold. It is great, but one issue makes it uncomfortable to use. My iPhone is set to use Siri in Russian (all other menus are in English). Cardo is set fully in English (because Cardo's Russian sucks, sorry for that). Problem is: in such combination 'Privet Siri' does not work. Only if I set my Bold's menu to Russian 'Privet Siri' activates Siri in my iPhone. Is there a way to call Siri in Russian, while Bold is set to English?

how do i call other numbers on speed dial set in the cardo app? i think there's 5 lists there and i can only call 1 from the top when i say hey cardo speed dial

Try this hey siri function at Hwy Speed @70miles. Please perform live test and also answer function to receive incoming call at 70mph. If u can i ll believe i must be doing something weong. I tried atleast 100 times n only 2-3 times works. Every one performed this in house or in garage but no one i mean no one performed in live action on motorcycle at hwy speed. Please do if u can. Thank you

I have regular Packtalk and have strange behavior with Siri. When you push phone button that call Siri, first bip comes fine, but second “Dudu” comes really painfully LOUD. I asked cardo, they suggested me to lower volume during this “dudu”, but when I do this I can badly hear phone call. Once I raise volume up to hear phone, this Dudu comes loud again. But music level from iPhone via a2dp is good and I don’t need to raise / lower it all the time, it’s just with Siri and phone call. In firmware 3x there were ability to tweak sound level for each source, but not in 4x. Did you faced such behavior on your older unit? Any suggestions how to fix it? Packtalk with latest firmware, did reset (via 3 buttons), iPhone 7 Plus with latest iOS.

I was wondering if it was possible to dial from google voice or hangouts using either Siri or Google Assistant. My goal is for the caller id to come up with my Google voice number. Any suggestions? It doesn't appear to be teachable to Siri or Google Assistant. Nice job on the vid. Thanks.

Question about making a phone call.... I have a regular flip phone. How can I direct Cardo to call a number on my call list. It works fine for the speed call number but I want to call others as well. Thanks I have the new Bold.

I was riding to day and every time I said Hey Siri it would answer back Hey Siri, but it didn't matter what else I tried it did nothing...with 1 exception. Once I stopped at a stop sign, with no other vehicles around and said "Hey Siri Play Panorama" and it worked. I tried it later in the same situation trying to call someone and nothing happened.

Why "Hey Siri" is only available on PackTalk Bold? I have a "normal" PackTalk and it would be great if I could use this functionality.

I just bought a Packtalk slim with JBL unit. "Hey Cardo" works perfectly. But "Hey / Ok Google" does not work at all. Any idea why that is?

This isn't working for me anylonger. I've got an android and when i want to make a call i say "ok google, call Google only responds the following: "Ok, but you'll have to unlock your phone first". That kind of sucks, cause it's tough to unlock it at high speed when it's in my pocket.... It did work before i updated it a couple of months ago. any suggestions?

Hi, my Packtalk doesn't pull up Siri when using the 'phone' button on the PT. It's paired to my iPhone but for some reason this doesn't work. It also doesn't pair to my phone automatically anymore. Any thoughts on what's going on?
