Hello David. Thank you for these tips, I am always looking for ways to improve my winter care of my Pelargoniums and Geraniums. My situation is rather different than yours however as I'm located in a semi arid part of British Columbia where we can see temperatures down to -30 c. Therefore my greenhouse is completely insulated with 1" thick styrofoam and the plants live under artificial light from Oct. to April and are kept to a minimum of 5 c. with a small electric heater. Some of my stock plants are 25 years old and still producing beautiful blooms and cutting stock. I head them back severely in the autumn and again in March as I take cuttings. By May when the frosts are over they are beautifully formed and ready for another colourful summer.
Regards, David.
