The Quest for Happiness Trailer

Welcome to The Quest for Happiness. My name is Tom Reissmann. I am a travel videographer. I also help people around the world to fund their passion for travelling and living abroad by teaching them how to make a living with travel videos.
Statistics show that 80% of people are unhappy with their jobs. The consumption of anti-depressants is rising every year and a vast number of people taking anti-depressants live in the riches countries in the world. It appears that although we are lucky to live in the Western World we have not found the recipe for happiness.
I am therefore going to create a documentary on one of the most fundamental and puzzling questions of our lives: What is Happiness and how do we go about finding it?
With this documentary I would like to inspire people to never give up on this most elemental quest; the pursuit of happiness. Is it simply an attitude or is it a destination? What are the risks and is it worth it? My hope is that by examining people’s individual stories, their journeys big and small more people will find the courage to pursue their dreams. Toward this purpose I am going to interview people around the world about what changes they’ve made, what sacrifices they have made and what motivated them to pursue their own version of happiness. I will also look at the concept of happiness from several different angles including talking to experts and monks in Bhutan and Tibet.
In this documentary I will entertain the following questions:
What fears do we have to face in order to change our lives?
How do we find the courage to make positive changes in our lives?
How do we find our passion and make a living with it?
I will interview experts as well people like you, who have an interesting story or particular perspective on the subject of happiness. Please submit your story as a video or letter on the link below, so you too can become an inspiration to others.
