You really know how to not over-complicate dishes and still make them look delicious . One of the most renowned dishes in Cuba literally only uses “salt, pepper, and Garlic”. I like overwhelming flavors, but simple and delicious never fails.

One of the things I was taught that really ups the ante on bean dishes like this is to take some of the beans after cooking and blend them up before adding them back in. It thickens it up while bringing more flavor to each and every bite. Cheers!

Blend up a portion of the beans to create that classic creaminess, try out pink beans too for this. They are hard to find but you can buy bulk from the restaurant stores online. For a crema a cayenne pepper sauce would rock too. I'm overly opinionated maybe but I love cajun and creole food ❤

As a Louisianian and know red beans and rice, the correct way to serve it is rice first, then beans.

Never had chicken with my red beans and rice but I'm sure it's good. If you want to make it a little more authentic, try fried andouille or other Cajun smoked sausage
