USA is the champion in using trade as a weapon and Australia is one of the watchdogs of USA. And both of them know this fact.

China's trade sanctions on Australian merely China taking a page from the US playbook of imposing trade sanctions on other countries that don't support their agenda. In this case the student ( China ) is equally as good as the master ( the US ) in playing the trade sanctions game.

The title of this video should be "How the USA uses the dollar as a weapon".

It's called trade sanctions. America & the West have plenty of experience sanctioning other countries, but very little experience being on the receiving end.

It's not a trade weapon when people stop buying from you, that's just a choice. What IS a trade weapon is when people STOP OTHERS buying from you and STOP OTHERS from selling things to you.

Please the Australians dug their own grave. Any country that pulls the stunt Australia did to China will experience the same problem. It's like walking into a restaurant and calling the owner of the restaurant a thief, do you then expect good customer service? If you think so try it!

the West finally learning how it feels when sanctions are used against them

Australia banned Huawei’s 5G with no real reasons. Trade is mutual. Australia has no moral high ground to criticize China’s human rights record given what its troops did in Afganistan and how it treated its own aborigines and migrants. No country is perfect. Australia needs to look at itself in the mirror before criticizing other countries.

I remember learning "world" history in Form 3 in colonial Hong Kong, says the opium war(s) was a *trade* war. That was a much more educational lesson than the Brits intended.
