This is exactly why I refuse to get a car note (even though I want new car so bad.) The car isn't yours! The moment you miss a car payment they can pick it up! The car I have now was a graduation gift from my parents. It's kind of beat up, have high milege and catalytic converter problems. But, im grateful for it. At least I can call it mines and don't have to worry about repossession. Id rather save up and buy a new car in full.

Lol, I had a similar situation play out in front of my house. Tow guys had a flatbed truck they were loading the car on, and the owner comes out screaming at the guys. He then gets up on the truck and gets into his car, starts it up and drives it off the truck, bouncing and swerving up the street. The guy was raving at his friends to call him and tell him to bring it back, because he's calling the cops. He said that once it's on his truck, it becomes his property, and now he's guilty of car theft. Cops came, and from what I was told, they chased him down and arrested him. I never saw the car again, and they moved soon after. It was like an episode of COPS playing out right in front of me!

I remember hearing my upstairs neighbor run downstairs because his car was being repo’d. It was close to midnight I think. Man I felt so bad for him he was literally begging almost crying for this guy not to take his car. After about 5 mins or so I guess the guy felt bad and told him he’d give him another chance but next time he’s taking the car. He was thanking him profusely. He moved not too long after that. I think about that young man from time to time and I hope all worked out for him.
