well just for the record, bc it was not mentioned: For damage negation there 2 numbers in your stat screen: The first is your flat damage reduction (example: 100 means you take 100 less damage flat out). The second number after the slash is you percentage reduction, like 13.1 DMG negation in the video example means that you take (additional to the flat reduction) 13, 1% less damage in total.

I forgot to talk about equip load 🥲 basically the higher it is the slower your roll will be until you just can’t roll anymore. Shields, weapons and armor all count towards your equip load. Heavier armor = more poise and damage protection.

I mostly go for fashion even if I lower my defenses, doesn't matter if I die in 2 or 3 hits instead of 4. However I find that armor really matters when dealing with status effects, for example the mushroom set is great for scarlet rot and Lusat robes will increase your Death resistance massively, makes any area with basilisks or wormfaces much more relaxed.
