As a lifelong Floridian, born and raised, I too would feel better if the nation was in the hands of New Yorkers than in our hands. I had to explain to a woman high on who knows what last night that what she was looking at was a large dog and not a little person in a dog costume. As though it is halloween or that is a common enough occurrence to warrant such high levels of suspicion.

Leeja is still explaining the Electoral College but just want to point out the EC is why we are not a true democracy and cannot be if every vote doesn't have equal weight from ballot to representation!

Also, it was landowners that were given the privilege to vote, who coincidentally were the rich white men. The division has narrowed but as an indigenous woman who's grandmother was 40 years old before she could effectively vote. My mother was was in grade school before my grandmother could vote.

Also remember that there are minorities who still had barriers to voting in 2020. Shout out to Allie Young, the Diné woman who led the 20 mile ride on horseback in Arizona to make sure her peoples voices were heard 👏👏👏👏👏

Look, I've been your subscriber since a few months ago. as an attorney myself, I absolutely love your videos and have been going back in time to see other videos and that part where you said Puerto Rico has to deal with all our shit and doesn't get a vote, was just beautiful. Even in Canada, where we have a multi-party system, you still really mostly hear about "the big two", Liberals and Conservatives, and sometimes the NDP or Green party.

There is a National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, which is a decent way to fix the system at the state level (bypassing Congressional gridlock)

I'm from NY and i vote absentee because I'm military. For over 12 years of my voting life my vote didn't count because it wasn't even counted. In NY prior to 2016 they didn't even count the absentee votes unless 51% of them would have changed the vote. Which means in NY they didn't count them. The law changed that. We need to make more changes. But we're getting closer.
