Close to the Vest: Stories from Red Cross Volunteers

Did you know 90 percent of the humanitarian work of the American Red Cross is carried out by volunteers? Your neighbors, coworkers, friends and family may be far apart right now, but the ones who commit to voluntary service remain an integral part of the global network of humanitarians. Humanitarians who wake up everyday with the determination to provide comfort and hope.

Close to the Vest was a special showcase, streamed live on Zoom and Facebook Live, of stories that demonstrate the compassion, courage and spirit of some of your fellow Angelenos as told by the volunteers themselves.
