Useless without navigation buttons.. if I want to go into the tv menu or the tv apps I can’t navigate without the original tv controller. Also why have an input button when there is one on the chrome remote… am I missing something?

After 6 months - watching your instruction - was 'the click' to configure the SideClick. Basically simple. Took the time - from now on I can operate the sources and actions behind my Philips TV and the TV guide - without the tv remote 😊

What about if you want to power on your soundbar and TV? That's where I'm stuck at right now. I do not have the side click.

You had me wanting one. I need to control my Roku TV from this, think that it might work? Just the arrow keys and the OK key is all I really need. The TV is Roku with a Chromecast with Android TV hooked to it.

got the sideclick to control a TCL Series 6 with Roku. Problem was the Roku remote was NOT and IR remote. It used being on the same network as the TV to work. So Sideclick would not learn anything from it. workaround ended up being finding my old samsung galxy 5 (and phone/tablet with an IR blaster would do) then finding the right app.. "Smart IR Remote – AnyMote" by Color Tiger in the Play Store in my case. The 2nd TCL model worked. Then the Galaxy 5 taught the Sideclick what to do. I wish the Sideclick had a small D-pad like button/stick.

So for the sound bar volume control, did you do a step up and step down to control the sound bar volume or just pressing down worked?

Got a tv with a missing remote. Anyone know if I could pair a cheap universal remote I already have to the tv, then pair the sideclick to that universal remote? The tv this will be used on is only really used with a chromecast. Just would like the ability to turn the tv off and on/volume control from one device for it.
