I think you have to understand this in a different way. My understanding is that it's not that the price is likely to break the trend line and therefore you should expect it, because it's perfectly reasonable to buy at a trendline support level, because plenty of times they will hold.
The real concept is that once a trend line is broken, which can very well happen, you want to look for a stronger level of support than that trendline, which happens to be the demand zone.
It's a matter of when you break a lower quality support zone, you then look for the next stronger one.
If you could always expect a trend line to be broken, you should also expect for every support level to be broken.
