The simplest way to recognize liquidity is when we see two or more tops or bottoms side by side. In case we are talking about patterns like double top/triple top .

Liquidity areas are easy to identify but the problem is that there are always both upside and downside areas and you don't know which way the market is going to go first. You need some other method to identify trend first and then liquidity can give you target estimates.
