한미일, '김정남 VX 암살' 대응방안 긴밀히 조율키로
The top nuclear envoys of South Korea, the United States and Japan have discussed North Korea's nuclear threats and adopted a joint statement that strongly condemns any kind of additional provocations by Pyongyang.
Meeting in Washington on Monday,... the three sides said the regime's recent test-firing of a ballistic missile could be a precursor to a possible intercontinental ballistic missile launch in the near future.
Another issue topping the agenda during the meeting was the apparent murder of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's half brother, Kim Jong-nam.
Seoul's representative Kim Hong-kyun called on the global community to act strongly against North Korea,... saying the regime seriously violated international norms by using a prohibited chemical nerve agent, called VX, to kill Kim Jong-nam.
The United Nations classifies it as a weapon of mass destruction.
South Korea's intelligence agency has called the murder an act of systematic terror led by the regime itself.
