In Venezuela, thousands of protesters have flooded the streets of Caracas, alleging that President Nicolas Maduro rigged the presidential election held on Sunday. In response, officials from Maduro's government have issued threats of detention against opposition leaders Maria Corina Machado and Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutia, accusing them of plotting a coup.
