Whoever did my dryer used the hard metal like you suggest. However, they used 2 foot sections and duct tape to keep them together.

Except I need to move my dryer out from the wall twice a year for winterization and dewinterization. There is no access to disconnect the pipe without pulling it out 5 feet. Solid pipe won't work, need a flex line.

Now the lint gonna pile up at base of pipe and when gets to hot high limit gonna trip then you got to take it apart to reset and won't reset till it's cooled off. And should have made vent to outside at same height 😊

Those flexible ones you say not use are easier to put on, the other way you say would be hard to handle . Show how you do it next time without cutting off at theme critical point of the video.

I have the flexible pipe in my drier clean as a whistle aslong as u don't kink it and let it sag ull be fine plus clean it once and a while

You still get lint on it, specially if you have many turns

Do not use steel vent pipe on your dryer use aluminum only solid 2 ft pieces or they make 5 ft pieces and probably 10 ft pieces keyword is aluminum
