I have a cheaper wired version the 400lx that I have no problem with at first I was a bit sceptical about how cheap the were and now I'm happy I got them but the problem with them Is I have already gone through 2 controllers after only having them for 8 months so I think I'll upgrade to these thank you for helping me make up my mind and also no one has ever complained about my Mic

I have gone through so far the Astro A20s, Microsofts Xbox one surround sound ones and these RIG 800LX"s. Hands down these RIGs are durable, sound is fantastic, there very comfortable where as my A20s lacked in and like you put it the "24" Hour Battery Life it boasts really does make it much more convenient. They have my vote as of right now.

If you got the Cash i would recommend the A50's and pick whatever color you like best, then buy a extra Base station "e.g you like the ps3 version, buy the xbox station" and extra Mod kit "leather ear cups and band" It will cost a Ton but if you have a job it doesn't matter, since the A50's plus extras you/family will be using on all Consoles/devices

It's basically impossible to find a wireless headset with a good mic. Even this one is woefully substandard compared to the much older, much cheaper, now-discontinued Plantronics .Audio 995. (I say that while comparing the audio in this video with someone I'm currently Skyping with wearing the 995s.) It's frustrating. But indeed, these might just be the best option available today.

How was the audio quality compared to the A20? I'm leaning toward these purely based on the lesser prevalence of disconnection issues between the two, but I'll probably go for whichever goes on sale first unless there is a significant difference in sound between the two.

I just got these today and was testing them out sounds good but the battery was already low so I couldn’t do a long test but what I did nice is I recorded a message to a friend and there was a small breaking in and out with my voice is that normal or should I chalk that up to the battery

Mic only matters if you have lots of friends and they all play on the same console and games as you... so doesn't matter at all xD
