First of all we will begin by talking about the brand new Quest Plus service that has been released by Meta allowing you to get 2 VR games for 7.99 every month. After this we will talk about a pretty large new Virtual Desktop update, new AI Body pose research papers, Meta Cloud Gaming with microsoft and a new piece of software for Quest to allow you to 3D model. I am so sorry for the stabilization though this video. For some reason the camera was shaking throughout the entire thing and this was the only way to make it watchable. I'm still waiting on quite a bit of my camera gear to arrive.

3:52 Actually, there's something known as "edge machine learning", TensorFlow Lite would be an example framework for that. The idea is you still need a beefy system to train the model, but then you can squish it, maybe even by orders of magnitude, to run on much weaker hardware, even on Arduino in the extreme cases (though something like ESP32 fits the bill much better).

With a full metal housing and tempered glass front along with an exterior display facing outwards, it is no surprise that people are saying that it is uncomfortably heavy for long term use. Will Apple ditch the metal housing in favor for polymer and a transparent plastic for the the glass front? I honestly don't think so.

My thoughts for the Vision Pro’s weight have to do with a cooler large enough for 2 main chips, the outer frame being made of aluminum and the front visor being made out of glass. Plastic would be lighter, but also harder for them to justify charging $3, 500 if they went with plastic over aluminum and glass. It really just needs a better strap design included in the box. The current “optional” top strap they made looks like a complete afterthought and kind of cheap.

6:39 regarding Masterpiece software, it is "Free*", not "Free". And that asterisk needs to be kinda big. If you want to export anything without making it public domain and freely available to anyone for any purpose through the asset library, you have to pay for a subscription. Granted, the old Masterpiece Studio subscription is "only" $20 monthly (or $180 yearly) for individuals. And Masterpiece X, as I understand, has single-use "private export" tokens, which you can't buy for now but receive in small amounts for free while it is still in beta.

The Apple is made with glass lenses and aluminum frame instead of plastic. That’s where the weight comes from, it will need the top strap minimum

4:30 The main contention with cloud gaming is that if support ends and they pull the plug, you're completely SOL.
If it sees mass adoption, some of the prevailing fears are that consumers will be priced out of dedicated graphics, and consumer hardware may end up being reduced to dumb terminals requiring subscription access just to use.
Now imagine getting banned from your "PC" or your "phone", much like how that one guy with a smart home's Alexa devices got disabled because someone accused him of racism.

In short, people wanna own their shit and not have it taken away from them.

I use Shadow Tech cloud PC for all PCVR/Rift games with Virtual Desktop on Quest 2 and live stream No Man's Sky VR from the Cloud PC. I think Cloud gaming is going to be the norm much sooner than people might think.
