As a woman, being demisexual is incredibly frustrating because our society has come to believe that if you aren't madly, passionately "in love" from the get go, you aren't interested in the other person or you don't think the other person is attractive; and that if you want to be friends first to develop the relationship, you will never want a more intimate relationship. Worse yet, there are guys who will falsely accuse you of being manipulative or "playing games" if you aren't immediately ready for intimacy.

I consider myself a demisexual but dude don't use the rainbow flag unless you're actually gay! I am straight so people don't look at me weird when I get into a relationship, okay.
Many not so moons ago demisexual was the literal norm (well, it was the most socially acceptable sexuality, not everyone was demisexual but society supported that sexuality the most), courting was the norm. People got to know each other first and it has only been in recent times that people have F-ed on the first date. In fact it is estimated that 60-70 percent of women are demisexual and it is our natural sexual behaviour because biologically speaking the woman need to make sure the father is emotionally invested in the mother and baby.
Demisexuality is the norm, really, if you are a woman.
But unusual for a guy so I do see why you use that flag but still the flag was made for the gay's or weird sexualities but when the flag was made demisexuality was the most encouraged (even if you weren't demisexual) sexuality in the world.
Just saying coming from a demisexual who values courting, I would have thrived pre-sexual revolution not died.
