stop buying 'new' iPhones

Innovation is difficult, so maybe adopt the PlayStation model. Would any of you be upset with a new iPhone once every 6 years? If so why?

iPhone 11 user here. I think you're too caught up in bashing apple and talking about how "dumb" it is to upgrade every single year. But people that do so are actually a small minority worldwide. Most people, like me, upgrade their iPhone every 4-5 years if not 3. "it is the same fudging phone!" yeah but not when you come from an 11 or so. that makes a HUGE difference

The issue with innovation is general, not only Apple, I have a Galaxy S9+ and in terms of usage and features its not that different from the latest Samsung models. Its the same with cars and smart TVs.

I keep saying, these phone companies are just trying to squeeze every dime out our pockets that they can. Common sense would tell them to come out with a new phone every other year, that way it would give them more time to build a better upgrade and the latest phone will still sale simply because people don’t have money to buy phones and when they get the money they would still buy the latest one.

As an iPhone SE user I honestly don’t care because I care about iOS. And android always feels always crappy. The ecosystem is also a point. Would I love to have a foldable iPhone? Sure. But as long as my se is working I am not in a rush. It’s just a phone
