Best access point reviews online thanks for your thorough review process, it will be great to compare this to the u6 enterprise.

Looks like a modest upgrade. Worth double the price though... no. Also since MLO isn't available yet, I feel as we can't get a full idea of the U7 Pro or Pro Max's true capabilities until then. I don't think it will be worth getting a U7 Pro or Pro Max until WiFi 7 clients are more prevalent and MLO support is enabled.

Great video.. The gap from the U7 Pro to Pro Max doesnt seen to be as much as what i thought it would be, I think maybe waiting for U7-Enterprise may be the best option.. 2.4 performance is important to me with a heavy home IoT load still utilizing that frequency heavily so range is also important

This is a video I was looking for as I'm upgrading to U7Pro Max but it would've been nice if there is U6E in the comparison chart

Great videos! Been binge watching them. I would love to see wireless VR performance as well and/or optimizing AP settings for wireless VR if you are able to or have an interest in doing so.

Great review, tks for this. Would love to see the U6 Enterprise included in your AP testbed, considering it is now going for the same price as the U7 Max Pro.

I've read the latest FW (7.0.59) that you have installed on the U7 Max Pro resolved a lot of the Wifi 6E 6Ghz related issues, particularly performance being inconsistent / unstable on that frequency vs. U6 Ent, which has been a rock-solid performer. I'm on the fence as to which model to get 🤔

You better disable Wireless Meshing next time, when testing. That can be done at AP level but better inside the whole site (Settings > System > tab: Advanced > scroll down, uncheck Wireless Meshing (and New WiFi Device Auto-Link, if you don't use that).

Disabeling this, will stop the AP of sending out hidden networks (for the Meshing feature) and frees up memory. It also let you use more simultaneous SSID's on an AP.

I think that for these tests, it will be good to disable it, since if you want to compare it against other brands' AP's, they would have an advantage.

Hello, i have the U7 pro max ap, iam running it with Trendnet Poe++ 2.5gbe injector to udm pro max 2.5gbe port, i bought the unifi poe+ adapter for my camera but tested it with ap and it got 2gbps also even tho in website it says gbe port, which is better do you think, trendnet was 60 euros unifi adapter 20 euro.

For me the question is, shall I get a U6 Pro or U7 Pro. Have only one device that can do WiFi 6E which is my laptop.

Wish I had seen this video before. I picked up a 7 pro a few weeks ago and I was disappointed that it was only 2x2. I also can't seem to get it to connect at 320MHz on WIFI 7. When I first powered it on, set it up, it gets hot. Hopefully the next generation units will be 4x4 on all bands and passively cooled and low temp. I don't like the thing mounted to my wall knowing that I'll change it one day and there will be discoloration.

Very good test, but seems like there is nothing about real power consumption. that is what i'm looking for :-/

also it's easier to open the eap-773 compared to the ubiquiti u7 pro.

My u6 enterprise gets to 130 degrees and I don’t think theirs a fan so that’s probly why they added a fan
