WADA cannot be tested on him, he has special immunity because he has asthma(he is allowed to use asthma medication to help breathe during the competition) + two other different medications, a total of three medications. However, after quitting swimming, his asthma has improved and no need to continue taking those medication.

I want to illustrate a few points here. The timing of this old incident being resurfaced just before the 2024 Olympics is not a coincidence. Obviously, appreciating that you would have a grasp of the motives behind these reports. Second, there is a big difference between collective doping and food contamination and you can't talk as if they were the same. Noting WADA and other sport authorities have ruled out doping allegations on the 23 Chinese swimmers 4 years ago. And thirdly and most importantly, there IS NO CORRELATION between athletic performance and drug abuse as far as the affected female athletes are concerned. The most notable Chinese athlete among them is ZHANG YuFei (in the 2023 Fukuda World Aquatics Championship and Asian Games) who continues to show her excellence in subsequent international swimming races.
