I've known Sheldon since I was 13 years-old. In my entire life, I don't think I've ever met a man so sincere in his beliefs, so dedicated to the pursuit of verifiable facts (however inconvenient they may be), so committed to the health and longevity of our nation. I can tell you first-hand, he is the real deal. And while I've urged him over the decades to consider running for president, he has remained firm that being commander in chief is not something that interests him. He has no lust for power. He simply wants to serve his country in the effective way he can. I gotta say, in spite of everything we are going through at this awful, most divisive moment in our history, this man represents the very best of what we can reasonably hope to achieve—and somehow manages to rekindle my shattered patriotism.
