Since many viewers of this video most likely are Swedes, it is probably a very bad idea to completely trash talk our most recent Formula One driver. First of all, you're wrong in claiming that he hasn't finished higher than P17 in any series since his P6 in GP2 back in 2013. He was P12 in IndyCar last season. Second, he did fare well against both Kamui Kobayashi (at least by the end of the year and scored Caterham's best finish ever in Monaco. In 2016, he out-raced and out-qualified Felipe Nasr (though Nasr was fortunate to score Sauber's sole point in his home race while nobody remembers Ericsson's climb from P22 to P11 the race before in Mexico where nobody retired). In 2017, he fared well against Pascal Wehrlein (although an unfortunate pit stop strategy robbed him of a point finish in Spain). In 2018, he did fare surprisingly well against Charles Leclerc, who later proved to be faster than Sebastian Vettel.

I know that he often made costly mistakes and that he probably wasn't the fastest driver, but trash-talking him like this is very unfair.
