Alonso and Checo are absolute kings of defence. Peak racecraft right there. Hamilton and Perez had 3 proper fights this season and all of them made it to the top 10 highlights. Sheer class.

Checo is definitely the most underrated driver of 2021. He wasn’t voted high in power ranking and team boss picks. He was hardly on the listings. 4th 2 years in a row show this man some respect. 🇲🇽

Checo might not have collected as many points for Red Bull himself as he wished probably but he played a massive part in Max's championship victory

Max drove exceptionally well this year, but one of the major factors was he was backed up by an absolute monster in Checo, unlike the past years where RedBull couldn't put a team player in.

You can see how checo was truly pushing his car TO THE LIMIT defending Hamilton.
He had extremely old soft tyres and an inferior engine, and he was still able to slow down Hamilton for an extremely long time, and when hamilton passed him, he just passed him back and kept on defending.
Best defense I’ve ever seen.
