Consumer concerns about “unfair commercial practices” such as charging more than the initial fare, ride cancellation, surge pricing have prompted the government to take action against cab aggregators like Uber and Ola.

An Ola Cabs passenger in Mumbai, who filed a case against the ride aggregator for its overcharging policies, has been awarded a compensation of Rs 15,000.

Tip: If you're in a hurry, no need to call the customer care there itself. Just pay the amount to the driver and then talk to the customer care after reaching home. They will refund the amount as Credits which you can use in your next ride.

They do it deliberately, and the fact is that almost nobody raises issue. But if someone raises issue, they are damn quick to refund. It happened 2 times with me.

Hi I want to share my recent experience with ola. I booked an auto, Mera bill ₹140 aya for 4kms, mene 200 ka note diya, he returned ₹50 only and he literally ran. Yaha baat ₹10 ki nhi, it's about the greedy behaviour of auto, ₹10 me Mahal banalega.. after that mene customer care me complaint kiya, they replied vo kuch nhi kr skte. #OLA fraudsters. Ese driver hi toh kuch peso ke liye crime bhi kr dete hai. Mujhe ₹10 nhi cahiye but scam wali feeling hoti hai. Ager customer ride cancel krde toh heavy fine lagadete hai but customer ko Achi service nhi denge. Very bad #don'tuseola #olascam

Not everyone can lodge the complaint! People use these cabs regularly and don’t have time to call CC every time. There should be a permanent solution for this type of scam

This also happened to me. Call support never picked up my call. That's why I prefer Uber than Ola.

If you book online payment then no change in fare

The same happened with me some one week before, ride started with rs 436 and at end it was rs553. I paid initial amount online and rest cash with a small argument with ola driver..but later on I raised a complaint (option available with in the app)..and I got my extra money back with in two minutes..
