I feel like 1910 is a great choice for coming to NYC in fall, there are those great layering sweaters/coats. Just triple check the weather, we've been really warm a lot of the past few autumn into winter seasons!

I’d love to see a video where you just take us on a day in your life and see people’s reactions to you! That would be awesome!

My great grandfather was born in 1910 in Italy, his parents immigrated to America when he was 4 months old. He is still with us today and just recently met his great great grandchildren🥰

When it comes to traveling with hats, you can still get decoration boxes that do the job as a hat box, if you're able to remove some decorations then they be stacked to take up less space, putting a handkerchief or the like between for protection is a good option.

If not that, a suit case would be an good option too, with some lightweight support inside and around it.

I so admire your gumption!! Your historic clothing is so beautiful and you take so much pleasure in wearing them. So many of us (especially me) lack the self confidence to wear these gorgeous outfits in public, but you pull it off with style and Grace. Kudos to you, stylish woman! Have a fabulous vacay!

ADORE!!! The hat. Wish hats would come back into fashion, and no, I’m not talking about slouching beanies. Bring on the formed and fashionable hats.

Oh my gosh I thought I was alone or weird for loving all those old styles of cloths! I always have but as I live in a very rural area, don't know how to sew, and nobody I know loves this stuff like I do I e always just kept it to myself. I absolutely love your videos and live vicariously through you for sure. What I wouldn't give to be able to dress like that even just once in my life. Also my daughter is geared towards the 1950's style of cloths and as she gets older I e noticed she dresses more and more like that. I'm 46 so I figure probably to old to start now but I'm so happy my daughter is bold enough to wear what she loves regardless of what others may think and funny husband absolutely loves and adores her no matter what she chooses to wear. Thank You so much for sharing and posting your videos!

My home is 1911.
So it's neat to see this Era of the women who lived here and how they dressed. 1910-1912, it's so special. This helps me get into this. Wow.

Hat bags/boxes are a great choice for travelling with delicate or highly decorated and big hats. They do take up a bit of room, but depending on your mode of transport there are always around that ☺️ have so much fun on your trip! And enjoy the opera!!

for traveling with hats I find it easiest to remove any bigger feathers or fragile decorations and carry them separately according to what they need (delicate flowers or silk ribbons for instance) You can wrap the feathers in two layers of cardstock with some tape around it. Make sure the hat brim doesn't extend the width of your luggage and add socks or other small items into the hat. Carefully adding items of clothing like your corset covers or undergarments around it as well, to almost create an indentation to put you hat in (upside down) Make sure you don't stuff too much clothing on the sides, as this could squash the fibers of your hat in some cases. But felted, wool hats should hold up well like this. Always try to follow the shape of the hat whenever possible, allowing it enough room in your luggage not to get warped during travel. I hope it helps and have a great trip!

It's amazing how fast you get all that on. Puts Modern dress to shame with how elegant it looks. Beautiful

This is why hatboxes were a thing and ladies got the reputation for traveling with lots of luggage
