Can’t get your ink cartridge to work? The two most common culprits are recognition errors and print quality issues. LD Products shows you how to tackle both in this handy quick tip video.

If your cartridge isn’t recognizing in your printer, there might be tape residue or finger print oil on the gold contact points.

• Remove the ink cartridge from machine and locate the gold dots on the side of the cartridge
• Gently clean these contact points with a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol
• Reinstall the cartridge and print
If your print quality is poor, your cartridge’s print head may need to be primed. This can happen if a cartridge has been sitting for a while.

• Grab a warm damp paper towel and fold it into quarters
• Hold the print head down onto the damp paper towel for about 30 seconds
• When you remove the cartridge a small pool of ink should be left on the paper towel
• This process wicks out the ink and will usually resolve your print quality issue. If this doesn’t work, consult your manual for information on running a cleaning on the printer

I'll try this but not sure it's going to help. My color cartridge is brand new and only prints in yellow/ green. Hmmm

I tried these methods and it still isn't working. I never touched the copper chip on the back.
