The idea of Cristine relaxing is almost abstract at this point

I love how realistic they are about the longterm stability of youtube as a job

You two are the most realistic minded successful YT stars. The fact that somehow yall have managed to balance everything and still enjoy what you do is something more should aspire towards! Nothing shameful about reducing your career jobs to pursue and ensure the success of your passion projects!

I'm glad you two mentioned that you don't want to be a role-model in the meaning of promoting the whole "hustle" culture. Burnout should really be taken seriously, what works for Christine currently might not work for her in a couple of years, it might not work out for someone else at all.

So at home Cristine has gov work, simplynail work, simplypod work, and holo taco work? F* that.

I can totally see Cristine becoming an actual mentor for up and comers.. beyond being an amazing role model. I think Cristine has a place in YT internet royalty for life.

I was working from home for over 4 months. The first 2 months were alright. But because the space for rest became the space for both work and rest, it took a toll on my mental health. I found myself overworking (started work immediately after waking up and ended work at 3am) and I was also working on my Master's during weekends. I got extremely depressed, anxious, and burnt out. I cried almost every day. When my company emailed all employees that we can go back physically, I went back immediately. It feels great to have separate spaces for work and for rest.

I see Cristine sort of reverting back to being a nail art channel in he 40’s. Kind of like how Suzi does her’s

I don't find Cristine "goofy" . I find her a lovely lady who has fun at what she's doing and not embarrassed to be herself.

For the record I would absolutely watch 48-year-old Cristine react to children’s nail polish toys.

It's so interesting to watch this 3 years later... My husband still works from home 3 days a week since the pandemic and most of the office does, too. We love it. ❤😊

I love that you still work "day jobs". Actually one of the main reasons I like you guys so much.

I've heard you twice mention that you don't do things out of greed, and I love that about you both. Your perspective on living well is refreshing.

I'm actually glad that you guys made this part of the podcast and you clarified it the way you did, because I always have seen you in this light. Crazy ass hardworking people that have achieved a lot because they have worked hard and don't take breaks. I appreciate your guys's take on your personal lives and the fact that you're willing to clarify to people that do see this form of you.

i really don't know how you do it. youtube, holo taco, your government job, your merch store, the podcast I'm barely juggling school and work😅

If you need to leave your gov job, don't keep it just because of the role model reputation you've given yourself and the idea of disappointing people or something. Even in this comment section there's lots of "I love the fact you still work a day job, it is why I watch you" which must be SO hard because the more that piles up the more pressure you have but whilst the sentiment is definitely still there, it has to be said that it wouldn't be stupid for you to leave. Not like some youtubers who have a few viral vids and then leave but it is a blip. You said it yourself - six years. A nail polish business. You've created your own stability. I've always associated with you because I work for the UK gov and share your views on the importance of education etc but yeah I totally wouldn't be able to juggle the commitments you have, I guess it is a matter of reflecting on the one that gives you the least fulfilment and cutting down on that one, whether that is your day job I don't know. Go easy on yourself. Much love!
