Miguel was 100% right what he said!!!! Johnny taught them how to stand up to bullies not be bullies!!!! It's true that he messed up by making it about him and not his students but all teachers/senseis make mistakes!!!! Johnny knows the difference between "no mercy" and "no honor" but Kreese doesn't!!!! There's NO HONOR IN FIGHTING

Hawk broke Demetri's arm because of what happened to Miguel at the end of the 2nd season, he blamed Johnny because he taught Miguel to show mercy and he ended up in the hospital because of that. This is the main reason why Hawk showed no mercy to Demetri, because he learned that mercy is the weakness that almost killed his best friend

My guess to why Miguel didn’t help Demetri in this scene is because he is still not back to fighting shape just yet, there are cobra Kai students all over the lunchroom and the teachers would bust him like they did with Sam and miyagi-do.
