Fun fact: their application process sucks ass. I don’t remember it down to the detail but I’ve heard from a friend back in the day and my older brother works there. If your application wasn’t reviewed after the first like 24 hours or something like that, they probably won’t see that shit. I think it like blocks it or filters it out or something. So it’s best to speak to them before, or immediately follow up after, applying. Of course if that window is missed it doesn’t mean you have no option anymore but yeah it’s weird. They’re just kinda extra

It’s actually a psyop to benefit the share price. Saying you’re hiring makes your company look successful, like you’re making sooo much money with your business model that adding employees (the biggest singular cost of almost any business ever) would make you even more money faster. The reality is that these are ghost jobs, positions that’re never actually meant to be filled. Rona era cemented this as a popular ploy because of the hiring requirements, much like people on unemployment have to at least pretend they’re looking for a job.

I know a guy that’s a manager at a store, not target but there not allowed to take down the hiring signs, he has to give everyone that applies an interview even though he’s been told not to hire anyone

I swear this is what a lot of companies are doing right now. Minimum wage is up, "we're hiring" but never actually fill the positions. Not sure what it accomplishes but I've noticed it with many maintenance tech positions.

You me given false hope with interviews and let down because you showed serious commitment and dedication and on time maybe even a head of schedule then yes we all have been through that the unskilled ones be hired freshly in school and the rest shunned from any jobs available and seen as unvaluable as a worker when we all got double the skills a student doesn't have

Y'all don't know shit I applied target 3 years ago and still work for them see people get hired every other day
