I did that challenge way back (and I thought lvl 3 was the hardest by a long shot). I can confidently say you chose the wrong hero. Gerald is basically made for that challenge with the group buff for the soldiers and great damage against high armor enemies.
I personally always liked having 1-2 holy knights in front of the barbarians but that surely doesn't matter all that much.

i know it's been two months since you posted this video but as a 8 - 9 year old child barracks was my favorite tower and I'm glad to first see someone else playing the game after so long, and secondly you using the barracks

I know the real morgan commented to use spiked armor, but it is really good. The damage reflected by the spike armor is true damage and ignores all armor, this would have made the dark slayers much easier

Some feedback: ur audio mix is a bit weird. I’d suggest turning down the game audio and muting the in game music so you can put background music of your choice. Love the content dude, keep it up :)

For the Citadel, get all upgrade starts you can get on previous levels by beating their iron and heroic challenges. Then you'll have enough to max out spears and barracks. Spiked armor is worth it! That's how I beat it with level one barracks, and how I beat it with just barbarians. Good luck!

1:10 The hp is doubled. The damage average goes from 2 to 3.5, almost double and they gain low shield (forgot how it was called). They are not twice as good, they are almost 4x better. Doubling the health and almost doubling damage isn't 2x better, it's 4x (plus, there's the increase in armor so).

3:22 you don't have to be softlocked, you can just reposition your barracks to be out of the way and lose like that.

I'm sure you already know this, but for the 2nd winter level you can free the sasquatch in his cave by dropping rain of fire on the ice he's in and hire him to fight for you. He's pretty expensive, like 500 I think, but it's still a pretty fun feature the developers have. Also would definitely add content.
