On a serious note, do make sure that your roof can take the weight before buying a roof tent. Some roof rails and bars can only take the weight of the tent, not including the people.

I think the problem with the tent on the roof is that most cars don’t allow too much weight on the roof. My A4 Avant only allows 75kg total weight on the roof.
