Sir Roger Gale told Kay Burley: "There's real power in Downing Street - but it's not in Number 10, it's in Number 11," saying "all the shots" are being called by the Chancellor.

Sir Roger did not support Liz Truss in her leadership bid - but did back Jeremy Hunt in 2019.

He said he wants to let Mr Hunt "get on with the job."
