Fun story. I stopped talking (well I'd say yes or no or thank you. simple words) for a couple of months. I was in foster care and my foster parent and her granddaughter would be horrible to me. verbal and physical abuse. So about 2 months I wouldn't say a word unless I was spoken to. So after I started talking again my voice starts to get horsy and sore after 2 hours of talking.

I used to be really quiet as a kid, not "pumped up kicks" quiet, but pretty quiet. So much so that I distinctly remember whenever there was a time where I had to talk for an extended period of time or at a higher volume my vocal cords would get sore.

I'm a lot more talkative and social now, but it is kinda funny to look back on it.
