He played box safely because of the injuries to the linebackers and none of the other safeties last season can play the box

I totally agree, now that we have Deshawn Elliott. He's gonna heat up

Right on. He’s a center fielder. Let the man play

Def can't wait to see Minkah unleashed.

This moved really pissed me off. We had a bunch of backup safeties that could play up, but yet we pushed Minkah there. Makes no sense

Hey OSP, I don't care for Coach TA. I believe the Steelers could do better. He told on himself, he failed. Not just for a game but the whole season. Minka even had to tell coach TA he had the wrong defense on the field. That's why we have coaches to figure it out, not be a deer caught in the the headlights.

Thanks OSP you have a wonderful day!

Minkah did it for the team. We all know what he can do and what he’s worth

It’s pretty obvious, they had all 5 safeties injured and 3 ilbs injured. If no safety can tackle or play box due to them all being injured then that’s what they’ll attack. So they only played Minkah that way out of necessity. We all agree Minkah needs to roam and play FS, but they also need to be luckier healthwise for that to happen

Minkah hasn’t disappeared at all, he’s only having trouble with injuries

Coach allowing the offense to sink that low, is what decimated the defense due to injury, misuse and over use. It's all Coach Tomlin's fault. He allowed all those things to happen. This year things should be better with the injection of new talent, Arthur Smith as Offensive Head Coach, Tomlin as Defensive Head Coach and Austin as Tomlin's assistant. That in essence is what we have now. It was much needed, because Tomlin is terrible at managing the offensive side of the ball.

We should have got Flores as DC two years ago.

Minkah, as well as other players move around to disguise the defense. In the NFL, you cannot be predictable. Kazee and Trenton Thompson were just as rangy as Minkah and were also great playmakers. You have to mix it up. Our best years of defense is when Troy and Ryan were locked on each other and they could play deep or shallow. Minkah has gotta do what's necessary like everybody else to win games. I would be more worried about why Minkah didn't try to tackle Josh Allen in that playoff game when he was playing true free safety. I think if someone as small as Mike Hilton can make plays around the line of scrimmage, a 6'1" Minkah should be able to strap-it-up and forget about "Minkah Ball" and focus on Steelers TEAM Ball!!!

When you play against run heavy teams like Cleveland and Baltimore you need that extra support in the box. I don't think he was misused at all.

Winning season and one and done in the playoffs here we come. The Steelers refuse to spend money on the offense. Once again the Steelers have the cheapest offense and the most expensive defense. The defense that crumbles when playing teams like the 49rs, the Texans, the jaguars, the Bills. They even crumble sometimes against 2 win teams. Like last season against the cardinals and the patriots. The Steelers just refuse to spend money on their offense. All they're doing is beating a dead horse. I wasnt all in on deontae Johnson, but to get rid of your leading wide receiver and then replace him with a bunch of has beens. Good job omar khan.

Man I swear. Sometimes you just be saying stuff without thinking about it and make it into a video. No idea what you mean when you say Austin just stuck him in the box while acting like we weren't on our PS safties and ILBs. He wasn't put in the box because they thought it was right, but out of necessity. You got a short memory man, but that context matters
