Not A Z06 Yet, But The C8 Corvette Stingray Still Borders On Supercar Status | HotCars Reviews

We finally got our hands on a C8 Corvette here at HotCars! In this case, a 3LT with the Z51 Performance Package and Magnetic Ride suspension. And no matter what you think of the angular exterior design or funky interior ergonomics, the C8 still offers borderline supercar performance at a fraction of the price. Sure, a 0-60 time under 3 seconds sounds great but canyon carving in the C8 proves how perfectly Chevrolet nailed the chassis and suspension tuning.

With the Z06 plus the recently revealed hybrid and full-electric variants looking set to cause havoc on dealer waitlists and markups, a base Corvette looks better and better (maybe not in bright Amplify Orange, though). Even at this car's $88,000+ price tag, no other mid-engined sports cars on the market today can truly compare, as HotCars contributor Michael Van Runkle discovers while putting this swansong to the V8 engine through its paces on the winding canyon roads of Malibu.

Who told you they're available right now? I've been on 2 different waiting lists for 5months and was told it cld be up to an 18months wait. I refuse to pay a dealer mark up.

Nice video! Just a point of clarification - what's shown are the optional Competition seats - the standard seat for the 3LT is the GT2 seat, which you would find easier to get in and out of as they have slightly smaller bolsters and are a bit wider. I've tracked the GT 2 seats and they perform great - I've also tracked the base vehicle GT1 seat and had a hard time staying planted.

I'm here from your website you were writing about sports cars that are super cheap and mentioned cars like jaguar f type, cayman, rc sport, and Cadillac XLR and that they were all under $20, 000? The xlr I believe but the others? I haven't seen any for under $20k. I would like to see where you saw those prices if you don't mind.
