I don't think that other car manufacturers have any chance to compete with Tesla's sales numbers until they go with a direct to consumer model and eliminate the dealerships that make car buying a mostly terrible experience.

For the displayed range, it sounds like (from what you said in this video) Tesla starts off by showing the range until the battery is dead and then as the battery gets lower, they drop the estimated range faster so that you go and charge well before the battery is completely dead.

Use ABRP to compare the range and charging times/# of stops. Calculate this on your regular long drive stretches., ex. when visiting long way family/relatives/friends or traveling to your summer/winter cabin/house etc.

I had the camera issue on my 2023 MS Plaid. Autopilot just stopped working one day and the service tech came out and had to adjust the pitch of the camera. This was several weeks ago, so its interesting to hear that other vehicles are effected besides just mine. This was the first V4.0 hardware adjustment our local tech had done.

Charge battery. Set odometer to zero. Drive until the battery is dead. Look at the odometer.

When I heard of the shutdown, I at first thought it would make no sense for them to shut down separately for Highland and non-Highland-related upgrades. Though if there is routine maintenance that they couldn't put off to combine with the Highland changeover, that's understandable.

I have never encountered any issues with the range of my 22' Model 3 RWD. maybe a couple miles less during summer. just my experience so far though

I went back to gasoline after a Tesla lease. I did order a cyber truck and will get that when the time comes. I do think service needs some work, takes to long to get into service. For now gasoline and EV will be for a second car only at this time. Still love the tesla but they need to open more service centers.

I recently bough a model 3RWD 2023. The real range here in Texas is 180mi. This is not even close to advertised 272

Let the EPA (not OEM's) issue all range estimates done at 70 MPH. Gives fair comparison across all brands and most realistic for road trip range.

My new model y is part of the recall. Was supposed to get fixed last week but mobile service channeled and rescheduled. 2nd attempt is tomorrow. Would sure be nice to be able to use autopilot.
