During the 70s - 80s my family spent portions of summers on Martha's Vineyard. If the was blowing in the right direction, one could hear the rumbling from the bombs being dropped. My Father told me it was Noman's Land, when I asked about the noises. Prior to finding this video, I looked Noman's up on Google Maps. I always had an interest in this island. Great work...

Thanks for the video:
When I was a teenager. I used to watch them bomb the island with a telescope from my house on Cuttyhunk. At night they used parachute flairs. Please make more videos.

I lived in Provincetown when the airmen out of Otis would drop bombs on this island...shelling... the entire house would shake and for a kid you can imagine how frightening with the entire ground shaking

The fishing boat wreck was caused when it steamed between a tug and barge on a foggy night. The Hauser cable cut it in two. I saw this as a young boy two or three days after it occured while on my friend's parents cruiser out of New Bedford

The island's name, "Nomans Land", may be derived from that of a Martha's Vineyard Wampanoag sachem, Tequenoman, who may have had jurisdiction over the island when the English came in the early 17th century.

yes they are right the island is in fact closed to public as they are saying due to safety BUT if that is so why did the drone go dead next time bring a magnetic waive reader i bet there is something there on that island in those containers as it makes it a nice place for something like that ! FYI " mowers and signage used to maintain the island " would not interrupt a drone in flight ! or am i rusty on my physics

I learned once that there is a large rock now under water on this island that has indicia that Leif Erikson (am I remembering that he is the one?) left a mark of some kind on.

I live in Weymouth near the repurposed military base. Might be interesting video there. That white boat is not there accidentally. Radio transmission or geolocation site? How did you get the drones up? Were you on a boat? As for the base here Mark Wahlberg et al made parts of Patriots Day there.

I always thought, unversed in native names, that Noman's Land was a reference to the fact no man wanted to be there when the bombs were dropped. It was only in the past ten years I learned Noman was the last two syllables of a Wampanoag who had jurisdiction when the Martha's Vineyard name moved north one island. It's still technically spelled Nomans Land (no apostrophe.)

is it possible for you to get drone footage on the rune stone (just curious) because after doing some extensive research…it is in my firm belief that the rune stone is not a hoax but is the genuine article! great video man…it was truly a pleasure watching your vid💯🔥👍😀

That pond must be loaded with largemouth and smallmouth bass. Fishing from the surf would be ideal knowing how rocky it is. Looks sharky!
There’s probably craters everywhere on that island, plus I un-detonated ordinance all over the place.

So you didn't see the camouflaged hut where the serial killer keeps his victims, I see.

The containers hold the mowers and signage used to maintain the island.

It's not "Noman's", it's "Nomans", and it's prounced more like "nomuns" than "no mans".
