I still listen to this song at least once an month, and this is the scene I think about. Anthony LaPaglia is once of the best actors, and he gets no recognition. Did you notice the way he had tears in his eyes after he just “convinced” the kidnapper he would get his 15 minutes with the child. Brilliant acting. I watched this scene close to 20 years ago and it will stay with me forever .

Jerry buckhimer was so good with the dramas of the 2000s . Without a trace gave you that emotional trigger that you needed in the wake of 9-11-01. In my mind what he did is allow us to see what his character were feeling at the end of the day of finding someone alive or dead and that stuck with us . You were rooting for them for 44 mins on Thursday nights hopping that there’s a happy ending to the episode for us to hold on to and that’s what made the 2000s so special

I used to watch this series regularly and I don’t know what it is about this episode, but it sticks in my head. The song playing in the background gives it a certain somber feeling.

I remember I was 15 at the time, when ion had the reruns or whatever, but I didn’t remember what the episode was about, all I could remember was the song. It stuck with me for years until last year when I finally sat down to watch the series on HBO and I found the episode.

I started rewatching this tv show on Amazon Prime. That episode his one of the best S01E05 of the series. Other episodes that i loved :
