Clairtone Console Stereo Video #23 - IF Transformer Adjustment

I'm hunting for the reason that the FM receiver is weak starting with the IF transformer that conveys the IF signal from the tuner to the IF strip. This proves problematic when one of the adjusting slugs is stuck solid.

Look at the FM RF amp transistor, I have found many bad ones over the years that caused weak reception.

And when I mean by auto muting it means that it mutes the radio when the Stereo signal is weak but when it's mono the auto muting is disabled because it's been found that a mono signal can provide a cleaner signal on a weak station then when stereo is turned on because in order to get a good stereo signal you need a strong signal

Maybe it has auto muting but you have to set it to mono to disable it

And it's possible that the slug has an adjustment opening on one side only

The slug is tight for a reason it's so no adjustment is needed but what you really need to do is access it from the bottom

At this point, you have to look at this as a comedy channel.
