U gotta let that length kick in i tried with short hair then gave up. Now i got a edgar cut i say like 1.5 inches long i put a sheisty mask on my head instead of my face just to rock it like that i peeped my hair started to curl in 1 day actual waves too.

It’s bc you washing you hair wrong, most likely using the wrong shampoo, and you need at least three brushes ( soft brush, medium brush, and hard brush ) in order to get waves, plus you missed a step after putting on the durag.

use a soft to medium brush, use pomades (murrays, sportin waves etc.
also get a lineup

Our hair gets waves in one day. You just gotta put a hat on real tight. Make sure it’s tight towards the back of the bottom of your head, and the top part of the hat has to be on your hairline.
