Will God Forgive Me For Repeating The Same Sin Over And Over Again? | Colossians 1 15-23 Explained

Will God forgive me for repeating the same sin over and over again? Will God forgive me again and again for committing the same sin over and over? As humans we are never going to be free of sin and are bound to repeat the same sins, but maybe you're wondering if God will forgive you if you keep repeating and committing the same sin? The answer is of course! God always forgive those who genuinely ask Him for forgiveness, and he will even help you work on your struggles with sin!

Repetitive sins can be discouraging, but we're only human. Only our faith and trust in God can we begin to overcome repeating the same sin. Christ died for our sins, and when we accept him our sins are forgiven past, present, and future. Yes future. He knows we will never be sinless, but He also knows that by building our relationship with Him we will sin less, improve the quality of our life, find strength to overcome any difficulty, and have abundant joy in our lives.

So if you find yourself struggling with committing and repeating the same sin over and over again, ask the Lord for help. He as already forgiven you and there is no need to fear of dying with some unforgiven sin. The Lord helps all those who ask.

Colossians 1:20-23

21 This includes you who were once far away from God. I listened to your sermon two times and followed along in scripture and found it to be vey well stated and shared. Then, tho I should not have, I read the comment sections....there the devil is alive and well.
I would share that you wrote and spoke a very good bible study. You shared about giving your sin to Jesus and by confessing our sins to him in prayer which is the first step of repentance. Then you shared how to get closer to Him through our one to one prayer explaining how the Holy Spirit is working in us.
It was an excellent presentation.
I encourage you to not let the comment section get you down. Stand strong in your faith and like the military says, "keep track of your mission".

So many people are promoting the false Gospel of the need of evidence of change for salvation. If you believe, you are forgiven. It's not truly believe, really believe, it's BELIEVE. You either do or don't. You have free will and can continually reject obedience and guidance while in this flesh, but will still be saved from death. However, the pain you will feel in the spirit after death is going to be greater than what you would ever feel now. Loss of heavenly rewards and the loss of the number of opportunities to be used as by Jesus as a tool for the Kingdom is just a few of the consequences of disobedience. Thankfully, He said He would wipe all of our tears away. No matter how much good we do in His name, when we see Jesus after death, we will see how far we were from true perfection since we will see perfection face to face.

I'm glad this guy doesn't promote continuous sin means non salvation. Old sins have popped up here and there after I got saved, sometimes to the point where I reverted completely back to the "old man", but I always get encouraged that He will never throw me away and I have a guarantee in the form of the Holy Spirit inside of me. He always gets me out of the darkness if I call to Him.

In conclusion, the only change you need for eternal life is to "change your mind" (this is the meaning of repent or "metanoya') about believing in Jesus.

This is what I think there’s nowhere in the Bible teaches that it’s OK to sin God forbidThe Bible says little children say not but if you do send you have an advocate with the father Jesus Christ of righteousness but if you continue to do the same thing over and over this is considered as a back slider this is where God wrath will come down upon you and this is where God will chastise you if you do not confess your sin While taking Communion then God will no longer chastise you

The bible said if we kept repeating "the same mistakes/sins" over and over again, then we might not be forgiven by God... Why?... because DEATH is only around the corner, and may catch up with us that we have no time to repent, then we are not SAVE (like death by accident, heart attack, etc.)... Christ said, keep your clothes/garments "CLEAN" at all times for you never know when the THIEF (Death) comes in your doorway...
The "THIEF" symbolized "DEATH" and the "2ND COMING OF CHRIST, " for nobody knows "the day and the hour" neither by the Son of God nor the Angels but the Father God alone knows...
