I've had the honor of playing against both your parents when I was very young. I will always remember specially how patient and positive your mom was when she analysed the game with me after we finished, I actually was shocked someone so good would take their time with a little club-level kid. I still cherish that tournament.

I played Pia in a simultaneous event hosted by my chess club back when I was a teenager. She won almost all games (this was sometime in the early 90ies) But a young girl among the 90% male participant played really well for her age, so at a rather early point in the mid game, (iirc) Pia offered the teenage girl a draw for her brave defense. At first I thought it was "unfair" but then I realized that Pia had rewarded one of her biggest fans at the event with a draw for playing well above her rating and daring to even participate.
I think the final result was something like 30-40 won games with 2 draws. No losses iirc. Nothing spectacular since it was mostly hobby club players and teenagers.
But it was so fun to meet one the greats in person.
I still think today that it was a sweet gesture by Pia, who could certainly have won, even with the very limited time frame, any endgame she decided to against the young girl.

You should disable the background noise audio cancellation because its disturbing when you both go quiet and we cant hear your mom most of the time. otherwise bless your mom this was an amazing video

Ive never played Chess, somehow I found this channel 1 night. After watching a lot of the videos, I'm gonna try to teach myself tonight and start playing. It looks like a great strategy game.. Glad I found this channel..loving the videos👍

My seven year old kicks my ass at connect four. I love how pumped he gets. When I win I'm yelling and when he wins I'm sweating and yelling. It so much fun to see how he loves to win. When he plays with his oldest sister is when he has to learn how to lose. We just started playing checkers and hoping one day chess.

This was a fun one. You have so much fun doing these videos. I think a lot of people forget that chess is a game and supposed to be fun for the most part. Certainly those at the highest level take it really seriously, but it's still a game.
