When a TV Camera Ruined a Ferrari 1-2 🎥 #Shorts

The year is 1995. Jean Alesi leads Ferrari team mate Gerhard Berger at Monza, and the adoring Tifosi watch on. That is until a TV camera, mounted to the back of Alesi's car, falls off and instantly destroys Berger's suspension. Alesi would later retire with a wheel bearing failure, ending what could've been an incredible race... pointless.

Alesi’s car also broke down before the end too, so Ferrari couldn’t even enjoy a win. Typical Ferrari/Alesi luck

Camera was apparently zip-tied to the rear wing - those were the days 😂😂😂

Alesi/Berger was the Sainz/Leclerc pairing of the 90s

I´m 52, and i still remember how painful that was to watch. Back then it was extremely rare to see a Ferrari win, let alone a 1-2 finish in Italy!!

Not a simple 1-2... It was a 1-2 at the Italian GP! 🤯

"And he did it all himself back there" announcers covering for the broadcast's own mistake like true pros lol

The fact alesi broke down afterwards is the most Ferrari thing you could think of

Lucky the camera didn't hit Berger helmet. This could have been far, far worse.

It still hurts. First Berger then Alesi, from 1-2 to absolutely nothing.

I remember this announcer saying Gerhard Berger and Michael Schumacher in the old F1 PlayStation1 games 😂

Now, imagine if, instead of hitting the front suspension, it had struck Berger's helmet... It would have been another tragedy in a Italian track, a mere year after the infamous weekend at Imola.

Gerhard had his fiery Tamburello moment already, no need for a wipe out into the wall at Curva Grande as well. He had his fair share of drama. 🇦🇹

This one probably would go down as one of the, if not, most humiliating DNFs in the history of the sport.

And then alesi had a brake failure. The nicest guy ever and along with Montoya the best driver never to be world champion. The bloke had zero luck at all. Love you jean

One time at the Daytona 24hr race during a pit stop the tv crew wanted to check the in car camera, in doing so he knocked the passenger door off the car, so it delayed us a couple seconds. We then went out behind a slower car under a yellow flag, they were both coming round on to the back straight when a rookie driver not paying attention that she was coming up on slower traffic lost it and ended up side swiping us and knocking out our rear suspension. That tv guy then decided he should not be hanging out under our tent.

Mid 80s to early 2000s were epic times for F1 racing, teams, and drivers... Prime Bernie Ecclestone and Max Mosley era
