The second in a trilogy of films adapting the enduringly popular masterpiece The Hobbit, by J.R.R. Tolkien, "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" continues the adventure of the title character Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) as he journeys with the Wizard Gandalf (Ian McKellen) and thirteen Dwarves, led by Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) on an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor.

Gosh, what these people do is amazing, and all that hard work! And those pick-ups have to be exhausting... I wish I could be one of their family, because no matter how much you work, its worth it; the memories you gain are enough to remind you that you love what you're doing, no matter how hard it is. I hope against hope that someday, I will be part of something like what those people have. They are lucky, and so are we because of them.
I hope they know how good they are and what a big importance they have in our lives.

Well said bro, the story itself is such fantastic that i don't even get time to notice about secondary things. But as an animator i know that this was one of the best CGI i have ever seen. People please stop complaining and enjoy the movie..

I just don't understand why people complain about CGI all the time, I believe that PJ knows the best, I mean, he did what nobody did before.Please stop complaining about CGI, what do You want, real dragon, or real troll?? Of course, he could make Goblins and Orcs without CGI, but he did really awesome work on CGI, especially Azog.What bother people is only word CGI, nothing more.Stop thinking about what is behind the movie, and enjoy IN the movie

Yes, if we see mordor orcs in first plan, they are awesome, but in second plan, we can see that it was only mask on their face

Peter Jackson really needs to get on top of things and cast a real dragon as Smaug. Since Skyrim is over, I'm sure Alduin is available, and as a fallback there is always Puff the Magic Dragon...

yes, in December 2013, the Desolation of Smaug will come out. Then, in December 2014, it will be There and Back Again. I believe the second movie will stop at Smaug coming out of the Mountain. Then, in the 3rd, we'll see Smaug killed, the Mountain's siege, the White Council's attack on Dol Guldur, the Battle of the Five Armies and Bilbo's journey to Bag End.
