Brennan is an improv master, cause as soon as he realizes that Lou wants to intentionally spring the trap, he immediately joins in on the bit, switching from trying to say “Yeah, you see that this is a trap, ” to “yeah, that hotdog smells pretty good.”

Also Lou Wilson is a god and I will be in awe of him forever

It has been said that "winning D&D" isn't a thing unless you judge it by how much fun everyone at the table is having; and "being good at D&D" doesn't make sense unless you're gauging how what you're saying and doing is contributing to that good time around the table. In this light, yes, the Intrepid Heroes are unequivocally better at D&D than most people, and this clip of Brennan and Lou is a master class demonstration.
