I love how dramatic the Torchwood team are, they're like ooh noo Jacks gone lets dramatically stand in a square

I miss this so much. A proper extended EU with cross-overs on all sides. Torchwood itself. Captain Jack. We had it so good.

My dad watched Doctor Who way back in the 80's when Tom Baker was current. Years later, he started watching Torchwood with no idea that it was related to Doctor Who. After hearing the TARDIS noise at the end of this episode, he was like, "O m g."


Fast forward to 2010, he was watching the premier of Series 5 (The Eleventh Hour) and I asked him what he was watching. He just told me, "Sit down and watch... You'll probably enjoy it."


If it wasn't for this scene in Torchwood, my Doctor Who obsession would have never been.

It's so weird how Doctor Who had a kid-friendly spin off and an adult themed spin off. It feels like a universe where nothing is bound to ethics.

Captain Jack was too good a character to let fall to the wayside. He needs to be brought back!

Owen trying to hold back tears and breaking down when Jack forgives him. After betraying him, shooting him and opening the rift, Jack knows why he done it. He still cares for him because he knows Owen better than Owen knows himself.

Seeing Owen break down shows how a tough exterior personality can always hide a man who cries

I love Owen's reaction. He's bracing himself for the worst and Jack forgiving him just causes all that hard exterior to melt away. It's so good

It’s a shame the Doctor didn’t actually land in the Hub in Utopia like it’s implied here. Or at least have this episode ending imply that the TARDIS landed outside.

Just watched Doctor Who new episode and it's a bit heartbreaking hearing "Unit is gone, Torchwood is gone " (paraphrasing here) from the Doctor.

You gotta bring Torchwood back.
There's not enough Sci-Fi on these days, well not of that quality.
Plus, we GOTTA see Jack meet the new female Doctor. :)
