CasaOS - Homelab & Storage Server for Beginners!

Hello everyone,
In this video, I will show you how to install Debian 12 on any computer, and setup CasaOS and install apps using the app store. This is a good starting point for any beginner homelab setup or hobbist with an extra computer they want to utilize. This also is useful as a storage server and unlimited uses with the app store.

Thank you! I've been running MX Linux for while and decided to run CasaOS on Debian and ran into my user not being in the sudo file and I got so frustrated by this. Just you showing how to fix that was worth a subscribe from me. Now to finish watching your video to make sure I'm not missing anything else.

This is perhaps the easiest way to get into making your very first Server, but I would like a video on how to connect it directly to your File Explorer or Finder on Mac instead of pulling your browser everytime to access it. Great video though!

Nice video..ive followed your steps and managed to setup my first home server using a mini pc. Thanks.
My issue now is that when i leave my server for a while it goes to sleep/hibernation mode and cant access it from my desktop until i restart my server.
Do you know how to prevent this?

When I type in the ip in the browser it doesn't open the website, It shows me that the website doesn't exist or that I have to check if my internet connection is ok or firewall

Do you know how to mount a ntfs drive to a container? When i go to options there is devices and volumes but what is the correct syntax like x:/ or /mnt/x/ cant figure that out

It's funny to see how all these YouTubers do not highlight the fact that CasaOS has a lot of issues, every time I have installed it and followed the instructions in their documentation, app installs fail, and or do not even complete!!!
CasaOS needs to mature first before I will ever consider using it!!!

I got… main: line 190: curl: command not found. And again with 192. Also E: package curl has no installation candidate. I google everything can’t fix it
