Great video but I would like to make a few points clear:-
1) Top Law Firms recruit not only from top NLUs and Private Law Schools but various other law schools provided the student is good he has interning experience etc, there are many associates and partners in law firms who are from not so know law schools.
2) Second/ Third Generation lawyers don't have it easy, because no client will come to you just because you are the son/ daughter of a great advocate you have to start from square 1 maybe your family member may teach you but you won't become successful just because you come from a family of good advocates. What will bring more clients is how you handle your existing clients. If you fail to handle their case successfully then you'll have a hard time coming up.
3) It won't take you 10 years to settle down. By 10-15yrs in most states lawyers are eligible to become senior advocates, so in 10 years you must be making good money provided you are skilled and you have handled your own clients in the past 10yrs. This will happen only if you are an independent practitioner. In most cases it will take a year or two to start getting initial cases but in 4 to 5yrs most lawyers settle down, only if you were loosing cases and making mistakes then you'll take longer.
3) Litigation or Corporate law are not the only two fields to practice there are a lots of fields to choose from. There is also drafting, soliciting etc and there is also Corporate Litigation.
The above video is good, but certain points were missing and i thought of adding it. Overnight short term success is not possible in any profession or business. If you start comparing realities of professions no profession would be good.
One has to use his skill, intelligence and networking to come up anywhere in life.

Advocates and doctor's are the only two "Noble" profession so our aims is not to earn lacks of lacks of money per month, our aim is to do betterment for our society .

With the volume of litigations and crime that happens, the profession is very well fetching. A good hardworking lawyer who is constantly keeping up with the latest judgements and case laws (and has an intention to serve their clients) will do extremely well.

Unlike engineers atleast they dont starve for employment they can start their own

Thank You brother... I'm a first generation lawyer and right now pursuing LL.M from Jindal... each and every point that you have mentioned is the absolute harsh reality of law. Thank You for conveying. The road is very difficult but I'm not giving up.

7:37 sirf symbiosis aur Jindal nai hai, there's also glc mumbai, christ and what not. they have good alumini list. You don't have to be from an NLU to be an advocate, please update yourself there is so much to do in law, from soliciting, drafting, to corporate advising, opportunities are wide. The only issue is salary, and connections, i agree second generation has some extra benefits but other points seem very bitter.

CLAT isnt the only way to get into law as a sucessful advocate or professional, state entrance tests, 3 year law degrees, entry is pretty easy if you work towards it at this point courses like cs also gives you an edge
