Morning Fire - Hand Drill Friction Fire

When living in my cave this is how I start a fire when the fire goes out. Cold mornings require quick solutions. Only having one minute, this actually took me about two minutes to wave the coal into an ember.

Every time I see a bird’s nest like that, I remember a summer at Boy Scout camp when some of the counselors did a Firecrafter skit. One had a bow, another a stick, etc. When they didn’t have a bird’s nest, they called out a particular counselor’s name, and he came running with this massive bundle of tender bursting over the top of his shirt like chest hair. They ripped it off and he screamed, then they went about turning it into a fireball in no time 😂

Hey Donny new to your channel. Also that's a beautiful pup.😭💯 This is a well deserved tangent. Fair warning. You took a complete gamer doing nothing but gaming and paying bills, and gave me an entire new hobby. Took me about a month of watching to make my own tool set. You're really inspiring. Of course I'd heard of flint and Native American points before, but you took my love for cool rocks to entire another level. I am now more obsessed with "good rocks" than my witchy girlfriend is with crystals. We're broke and live in the very middle of the Midwest, and there isn't much good rocks. I follow your 4 rules and and unfortunately there's only rock gardens, and such like creeks and apartment landscaping, but I have more "good" rocks than I know what to do with. Finished my very first completed point last night. I already made an abo toolset, probably with some extra stuff too tbh cuz it's all about ur own style I think, and an ishi stick. Coated my ishi stick with beeswax and it's so cool. Made it look leapord spotted. Anyways sorry lol keep up the fantastic work. My gma says you're hot asf 🤣🤣🤣 she's a hairdresser
